Location: North Hollywood, CA

Salary Range: $140,000 - $155,000 annually

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manager of Compensation & Benefits to lead and evolve companywide total rewards programs. This role is responsible for ensuring compensation and benefits offerings are competitive, equitable, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals. The position partners closely with executive leadership, Finance, and external vendors and plays a critical role in delivering a strong employee experience through data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation

  • Act as the internal expert on compensation strategy, advising leaders on pay decisions, internal equity, and market alignment
  • Lead annual compensation processes, including merit increases, promotions, and incentive programs
  • Maintain job architecture, salary structures, and pay ranges across the organization
  • Conduct market pricing and benchmarking using industry compensation surveys and data sources
  • Build financial models, analytics, and reports to support workforce planning and budgeting
  • Partner with Finance to align compensation programs with fiscal objectives
  • Identify and address pay equity concerns using data and analysis
  • Provide guidance to leaders and managers on effective and compliant compensation practices

Benefits

  • Serve as the primary owner of all benefits programs, including health, welfare, disability, and voluntary offerings
  • Manage the relationship with benefits brokers and vendors, including renewals and cost strategy
  • Lead the full Open Enrollment process, from planning through execution and employee education
  • Oversee benefits billing, audits, reconciliations, and issue resolution
  • Ensure accuracy of eligibility, enrollments, and payroll deductions
  • Monitor regulatory requirements and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws (including California-specific regulations)
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance benefits offerings to remain competitive in the market

Systems, Data & Compliance

  • Ensure compensation and benefits data integrity within HRIS systems (Workday experience strongly preferred)
  • Develop dashboards and reporting to track program effectiveness and trends
  • Support audits, filings, and regulatory reporting requirements

Employee Experience

  • Lead employee-facing events such as health fairs and wellness initiatives
  • Partner with internal teams to integrate total rewards into broader engagement strategies

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5-8+ years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits
  • Hands-on experience managing compensation cycles and market benchmarking
  • Strong knowledge of benefits administration and Open Enrollment
  • Advanced analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Experience working in HRIS platforms (Workday preferred)
  • Solid understanding of compensation principles, pay equity, and compliance

Preferred:

  • Professional certifications (CCP, CBP, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP)
  • Experience in highly operational, multi-entity, or regulated environments
  • Exposure to supporting hourly or distributed workforces
